Under general supervision, the Mammography Tracking Specialist will be responsible for managing and expediting the recommended follow up imaging of patients with abnormal results for the Mammography department. The Specialist will perform all mammography tracking functions. Mammography Tracking: Generates, mails, and tracks mammography letters, including undeliverable mail Answers inbound and makes outbound patient phone calls Enters data into the Epic patient chart, enters and maintains information and generates reports Retrieves pathology reports, tracks abnormal mammograms Enters orders and does some scheduling and rescheduling of exams Copies patient records onto discs or faxes paperwork Communicates with technologists, physicians, and clinical staff Contacts outside facilities to retrieve patient records Maintains all necessary records and data entry into the Mammography Tracking System. Tracks all abnormal mammograms into the Epic system per MQSA regulations Maintains organized detailed records for inspection. Required Qualifications: High school diploma, or GED Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of experience in Radiology or a Women's Imaging Practice Prior mammography tracking experience Working knowledge of computer skills to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power point Working knowledge of MQSA and Women's Imaging exams Working knowledge of medical terminology Knowledge of Radiology procedures Familiarity with pathology reports and Imaging reports Excellent verbal communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Attention to detail, and comfortable speaking over the phone with patients under sometimes stressful circumstances in a professional manner Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
