CNC Machinist

Job Description Job Description We are hiring experienced CNC Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes and Mills for first, second and weekend shifts. Compensation will depend on skillset and shift. You will be working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts. We have 10 & Okuma 10 SS and Okuma 12 with OSB 300L Control (Okuma 10SS and 12 running with sub-spindle live tooling). Our machines are 3-Axis, 4-Axis and 5-Axis and Lathes have bar feeders. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers) A plus if you are able to make adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances (however, shift Supervisors are there to assist). Must be able to work off of blueprints Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts. Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance) You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving. Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records. Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner. Requirements: A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills. Experience with CNC Okuma and HAAS a plus. Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions. General knowledge of G-code and M-code. Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts. Physical Demands: Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up a total of 10 to 12 hours (depending on shift), with breaks, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.
