This position will troubleshoot and repair electrical components, build and repair electrical control cabinets. This position will also wire and troubleshoot systems utilizing Programmable Logic Controls. The work requires confined space entries and lock out/tag out of mechanical components and electrical circuits. They must be proficient with fabrication, job organization, and tracking; they must also be proficient with job estimating and providing a breakdown of job costs and completion time. They will also be working directly with the Pump Station Administrator on managing contractors during pump station and treatment plant upgrades and repairs. Understand how to safely use electrical meters such as multi-meters and insulation testers and understand the results. Troubleshoot an electrical circuit by reading schematics or field testing Observe and test the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters or other testing devices. Safely de-energize and lock out an electrical circuit Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
