Material Handler - Part Time

The Material Handler will be responsible for the loading of finished product onto semi-trailers with the use of a propane sit down forklift, an on-board PC and RF bar coding system. RESPONSIBILITIES Understands and follows all standard operating and safety procedures. Performs all post-skidding operations, which may include strapping, banding, wrapping, card-boarding, boxing, baling, weighing and compressing. Safely operates a powered industrial truck to transport product to various departments. Review and/ or complete all material logs and production record paperwork as required. Performs clean-up and waste removal tasks. Coordinates trucking of product with shipping for staging purposes Follows all company and OSHA safety regulations and promote safe work habits with peers. As a Roller Maker, you will be involved in the rubber roller recovery process. This is a specialized process of refurbishing the many rubber rollers that the Quad operations utilize. The hours of this position are days, M-F, with overtime as needed. We’re willing to train the right individual for the job. Other duties include: Receive and schedule roller recovery orders for all Quad print plants Remove bearings and inspect journal ends for defects Strip rubber off old rollers using a stripping lathe Build the rollers with the use of 3- roll builders utilizing rolls of raw rubber Machine and Polish rollers with the use of grinding/polishing lathes Finish rollers to press ready state – paint cores, package, install bearings Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring devices – micrometer, tape measure, dial indicators The ability to perform basic math calculations is essential Willing to learn the operations of various lathes The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision. Electrical/Mechanical Technician - Wage ranges from $30.00 - $35.00 / hour Quad is currently seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Technician to work in our Burlington, WI facility. Paid relocation may be available for highly qualified candidates 100 miles from the plant. Qualified candidates will be able to independently, or as a member of a team, troubleshoot, repair breakdowns, and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. Conduct diagnostic inspections, both preventative and proactive, and repair-type maintenance activities on all production-related equipment. To include shafted and non-shafted driven equipment. Mechanically troubleshoot all equipment, including auxiliaries, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, fans, and blowers. Knowledge and ability to work on AC and DC control systems, drives, and motors. Utilize electrical and pneumatic schematics to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Maintain equipment and component documentation for calibration, settings, and proper tolerances. Required Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 2 to 4 years of industrial maintenance experience in mechanical/electrical troubleshooting of industrial/manufacturing equipment. Preferably, past education in an Industrial Maintenance program or Journeyman status. Must be able to routinely and successfully troubleshoot production-related deficiencies and determine a plan to correct and prevent similar conditions through scheduled maintenance tasks. Must be willing to support and promote company and departmental safety programs. Work with service orders, and standard operating procedures, while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and vendors. Work unsupervised and give directions to coordinate tasks with others. Essential Functions of this position include: Prepare for Operation - Access job ticket information and set up a flexographic printing press to produce labels and other products to customer specifications. Ensure the machine is adequately stocked with the correct raw materials for each job. Operate Flexographic Press - Operate assigned equipment in accordance with company safety standards and departmental SOPs to produce printed products according to customer specifications. Continually monitor supply levels of inks, paper, and other required materials to add as needed. Make routine adjustments as needed to maintain print quality and correct any issues as soon as possible. Perform Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed.
