Job Title: Registration Clerk – Float Location: Salinas, CA 93901 Contract Duration: 3 Months (Possibility of extension) Shift: Variable (Flexibility Required) Pay: $25/hr on W2 Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact—greet patients, families, and visitors with professionalism and empathy. Interview patients or representatives to collect accurate demographic and financial information. Enter and maintain patient data in the hospital system with high accuracy. Verify patient identity using appropriate documentation. Collect insurance details, including Medicare/Medi-Cal, and determine primary/secondary payors. Obtain required authorizations and pre-certifications when applicable. Prepare and process patient documentation, charts, labels, and ID bands.
