Job Description Locums | Gastroenterology | Marquette, MI (MI license required) Why This Role Well-established, highly accomplished endo unit team Modern setup: 4 procedure rooms, Olympus scopes, propofol, capsule endoscopy, hydrogen breath testing No admissions — hospitalists admit Defined block coverage with set dates Assignment Details Dates (full block coverage required, no partial): - 6/11 orientation, 6/12 (7a) - 6/15 (7a) - 12/11 (7a) - 12/14 (7a) Schedule: Mon-Fri 9-hour shift (8 billable, 1hr lunch) 15-hour overnight call; weekend call 24 hours On call for the entire assignment Call: Beeper, 20-minute response, 2-4 phone consults Volume: up to 12 patients/day for procedures Setting: Outpatient inpatient, Level 2 trauma EMR: Cerner, gGastro, Athena Credentialing: ~60 days (immediate turnaround needed on application/billing packet) No scribe — provider responsible for all charting, pathology review, and patient result/follow-up communication Clinical Details Required: upper and lower GI endoscopy, EGD, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible/rigid), ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), EUS, PEG/PEG-J placement, esophageal dilatation/manometry and interpretation, small bowel biopsy, pH studies Preferred: liver biopsy, Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management Requirements Board Certified in Gastroenterology Active MI license ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS Full availability for all listed dates (partial availability not considered) Compensation Rates negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
