Position description Sleep Physician The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) are seeking applications for academic positions in the Pulmonary, Critical Care, Sleep, and Allergy Section at the San Francisco VA. We are in search of an outstanding clinician with experience in Sleep Medicine, who will participate in clinical and teaching activities predominantly in our ambulatory clinics, and help manage a new polysomnography sleep lab. Job Description Join our Team at the Department of Veterans Medical Center, San Francisco, CA as a Physician - Primary Care! The Physician serves as a Primary Care Provider (PCP) at any Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The CBOC operates under a Patient Aligned Care Team Model. Together with his or her team, comprised of a PCP, RN, LVN, and a Clerk, the PCP cares for a panel of approximately patients. The PCP provides primary care services in a team-based setting, including chronic disease management and preventive health. Common diagnoses encountered include diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, degenerative arthritis, depression, congestive heart failure, and chronic pain. Responsibilities: Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation for non-surgical adult patients of all ages, without life-threatening complications and with a wide variety of diseases, injuries, and disorders. Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy regarding emergency and consultative call services. Collaborate with/oversee mid-level providers such as other nurse practitioners and works collaboratively with other specialties (and subspecialties) in and outside of the VA system to manage or co-manage patients' health. Additional duties as assigned. Benefits and Features Expected Salary range from $285K to $315K (negotiable based on candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience).
