The VA San Diego Healthcare System is looking to add a Primary Care Physician to our team at our Oceanside Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). The CBOC operates under a Patient Aligned Care Team Model. Together with their team, comprised of a PCP, RN, LVN, and an administrator, the PCP cares for a panel of approximately 1,200-1,260 patients. The position includes a major role in the clinical, research, administrative and educational programs of the Hematology/Oncology Section. The physician will take part in the supervision and education of fellows and residents, participate in didactic sessions, conferences and give presentations and lectures to trainees. Our physicians provide educational training for Hematology/Oncology Fellows, Internal Medicine Residents and Students. Applicants must be eligible for appointment at the VA. The ideal candidate for the staff physician positions will be suitable for academic appointment at the University of Oklahoma at the level of assistant, associate, or full professor, as evidenced by a strong track record of academic and/or clinical excellence.
