Wellstar Medical Group is actively seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Breast Surgeon to join our well-established practice and Comprehensive Breast Health Program . This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key member of a program with an existing referral base, a strong community need, and the support of a nationally recognized cancer care team. Our cancer program is accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC) through the American College of Surgeons , ensuring the highest standards of care. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality surgical care for patients with benign and malignant breast conditions, including mastectomies, lumpectomies, excisional biopsies, infusaport placement for chemotherapy, axillary surgery including sentinel lymph node biopsy and axillary dissection, and oncoplastic closures Perform breast ultrasounds , ultrasound-guided biopsies , and stereotactic biopsies as needed. S onographers are part of the in-office team! No general surgery call and no ER call except for established patients (nurse practitioners handle first-call responsibilities). Participate in multidisciplinary care conferences and collaborate with other specialties within the cancer program. Qualifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible Breast Surgeon with an active or eligible for a Georgia Medical License . Experience with ultrasound , ultrasound biopsy , and stereotactic biopsy Proficiency in performing both benign and malignant breast surgeries , including oncoplastic techniques .
