Molding Operator

Position Purpose: This position will be a hybrid operator position that is trained to perform basic machine restarts on injection molding and/or CNC machining cells. In addition, other tasks will include the hourly updating and monitoring of the Production Graphs, performing regular, thorough visual inspections on a variety of parts being produced, and assisting both operators and technicians. Primary Responsibilities · Operate machines to produce products, following manufacturing process instructions · Restart machines which have stopped for predetermined reasons deemed as basic restarts · Complete Production Graphs on machines being operated and report findings as required · Perform thorough visual inspections each hour on machines producing parts · Serve as a resource to assist operators with the handling and counting of scrap, taping cartons, etc · Organize workstations and assist with sustaining organization · Supply material to the work stations as needed · Assist with moving completed product from workstations as needed. · Utilize computer skills including Google Docs, email, and other programs as needed. · Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives within the facility · Assist in the training of others as needed.
