Primary Care Physician Role Overview: The Primary Care Physician provides comprehensive primary care services to a panel of veterans, ensuring continuity of care within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsible for ordering diagnostics, consultations, medications, and other therapies as medically indicated, meeting preventative health maintenance needs, and completing all required VA computer documentation including clinical reminders and screenings in a timely manner. Telehealth and/or video visits may only be conducted from sites of care within the VA Northern California Health Care System or VA-approved alternate work sites. The provider may also support the Call Center as well.
