What You Will Do: Your role is centered around new patient screenings, prophylaxis, SRP and prevention. You will also help make recommendations for periodontal disease, teeth and aesthetics. Your input is greatly valued. Responsibilities: ~Carry out initial mouth and health history screenings ~Identify and help the patient with gingivitis, periodontal disease, caries ~Prophylaxis, SRP, dental x-rays, photos as needed, fluoride, occasional sealants ~Patient education on OHI and procedures, charting, maintain supplies Why You'll Love Us: The Kno-Ho-Co-Ashland Community Action Commission (KHCA) is a non-profit, multi-disciplined, social service agency that has been serving Knox, Holmes and Coshocton Counties since 1965. The agency was awarded The Ohio State University’s John Glenn Institute for Public Policy and Public Service Best Practice Award six years. The Institute is recognized and used internationally for its consulting expertise relating to the design and implementation of efficient service delivery systems. The agency has a proven track record of providing services to those most in need. The agency currently employs 185 team members. As an organization, KHCA is financially stable. It is audited annually by an independent accounting firm, which meets with and reports to the board of directors. KHCA is a low risk auditee and has had finding free audits dating back more than a decade. The range of programs operated by the agency ensures that it is regularly and thoroughly examined by auditors and monitors from all funding sources. All are universal in their praise for the quality of agency programs and the accountability demonstrated. Clinic Operations The KHCA Ashland Dental Clinic has been in operation since its establishment in 1999. The clinic is under the direction of the dental clinic director, who is supervised by the agency's President. The clinic director manages the day to day operation of the clinic, ensures that staffing levels are optimum for maximum clinic efficiency, directs staff, monitors income and expenses to maintain budgetary integrity and assists with grant writing.
