The Electric NERC Compliance Consultant, Principal will lead collaboration with Electric Engineering, Asset management and Planning, and Electric Operations business units and the Enterprise NERC Compliance Office to guide mitigation planning, shaping risk-based decisions, aligning cross-functional partners, and influencing policy and regulatory strategy across WECC, FERC and CAISO. The selected candidate must live within PG&E’s service territory and will be expected to work in the office 2-3 days/week. Position Summary The CET team is looking for a seasoned Program Manager to lead our Residential EV Charging program. The main goal of the program is to make it easier for income-qualified customers to charge their EVs at home through incentives for panel upgrades and circuit extensions. Additionally, the program aims to provide pathways for customers to install EV charging at their homes while avoiding the need for electrical upgrades. The program connects customers to a list of qualified Trade Allies and provides rebates directly to those partners to allow for a reduction in out-of-pocket costs for the customer upon installation. The successful candidate will also ensure that the key objectives of PG&E’s residential electrification customer experience are integrated into the design and execution of this program. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of the program development and implementation, including developing workflows, creating timelines, managing budgets, tracking metrics and progress toward program goals Engage and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders Manage contracts to meet goals and stay on budget Handle regulatory compliance and reporting, including regulatory reporting to the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) or the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Make recommendations and develop processes to ensure a positive customer experience The ideal candidate has a strong background in program and project management within regulated environments (e.g. CPUC, CARB), excels at problem solving, and can communicate complex technical information effectively to diverse audiences. The work of this department is critical in our efforts to find compliance challenges and identify areas of risk so that we can fix them. The main functions of this department are identifying areas of compliance risk and opportunities to mitigate those risks, including through incident reporting and investigations, overseeing Electric Operations and Power Generation Corrective Action Program (CAP), and validating the controls on the organization. Position Summary PG&E is seeking an experienced business professional to be a member of the Electric Compliance Assurance Team as an Incident Investigator. The Investigator will be responsible for investigating incidents or items of interest. The investigations could be of interest to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), or other areas of compliance risk to determine the cause and any corrective or preventive measures to mitigate reoccurrence. Tasks of this team may include some of the following, or similar tasks: Validating policy implications pertaining to FERC and Electric Delivery Partnering with Functional Area Compliance Teams on risk mitigation strategies impacting FERC compliance Investigating potential self-reports to FERC Office of Enforcement Developing Investigation Forms for FERC Compliance Prepare and respond to FERC data requests This role will have a high level of visibility with PG&E leadership and will support one or many aspects of Compliance Assurance’s scope. A strong applicant will be an organized, motivated, curious, a consensus builder, and seeks to understand the “bigger picture”. Location of this position is flexible within PG&E service territory and will requires travel to incident sites and other locations throughout PG&E’s service territory (approximately 10-20% of the time) to coordinate investigations, meetings, and site visits. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and assigned office based on business needs. The selected candidate must live within PG&E’s service territory and will be expected to work three days a week in the office. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​ A reasonable salary range is: Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $126,000.00 Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $163,000.00 Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $200,000.00 Minimum Base Salary (California) $120,000.00 Mid Base Salary (California) $155,000.00 Maximum Base Salary (California) $190,000.00 Job Responsibilities Investigates and manages investigations of medium to high risk to PG&E, including working with PG&Es Legal team. Prepares and submits summary of investigation, including identifying corrective actions and gaining consensus with senior and executive leadership to mitigate risk. Identifies and summarizes compliance risk concerns, including forecasting potential Notices of Violation (NOVs) or equivalent. Prepares and submits responses to investigations, NOVs, or equivalent. Designs data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings and tailor communications to specific audiences. Manages major and complex investigations and data extract/analysis, ensuring data accuracy. Manages extracting data and transferring the data from databases to various analysts to support operational analysis efforts. Analyzes data using various advanced statistical tools to develop reports, summaries, and trends. Demonstrates and utilizes broad expertise in data processing and data analysis and applies this knowledge to a number of different issues. Acts as team lead and provides direction to less experienced employees. Project manages investigations, including building consensus with multiple senior leaders to stay on schedule. Qualifications Minimum: BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field or equivalent work experience 6 years of related work experience Desired: Master’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience. Experience with electric operation systems (data systems within electric operations). Strong problem-solving, organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills. Proven ability to prepare materials for an effectively communicate/present complex findings to senior and executive leaders with clarity, gain consensus on path forward on aggressive timelines. Project management skills including ability to handle multiple projects with critical deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
