Responsibilities Perform routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all stamping dies and related components. Conduct inspections, root cause analysis, in-press diagnosis, and repairs of the stamping dies. Utilize welding techniques to repair worn or damaged tools, fabricate new components, and enhance tool properties. Disassemble, assemble, and troubleshoot issues with presses and dies while collaborating with engineers and equipment manufacturers to improve processes. Perform rigging and lifting for die sets. Execute operations in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards. Experience with HAAS or ACER mills/lathes is strongly preferred. Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measurement instruments, inspecting finished dies for smoothness, contour, and defects, and making adjustments when necessary. The press machine housing the dies is fully enclosed and features highly automated press equipment. The role involves working closely with the engineering team to test dies, run product trials, and modify dies as required for quality specifications, including removing die sets, resetting, greasing, and modifying them. Steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, and a high visibility vest are required. Acceptable attire includes jeans or work pants without holes, rips, shorts, or leggings, and shirts can be plain colored T-shirts or polos.
