Position Overview: The Preventative Maintenance and Repair Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of preventative maintenance and repair operations for electronic security systems, screening systems, and physical barrier systems within a high-security DoD environment. This individual will ensure all systems remain fully operational, compliant with contract requirements, and aligned with manufacturer specifications while minimizing downtime and lifecycle risk. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & Sustainment Leadership Manage all aspects of maintenance and support for: Electronic security systems (ESS) Access control systems CCTV and video management systems Passive and active barriers Screening and inspection systems Oversee the execution and quality of all preventative maintenance activities. Oversee the completion and documentation of all repair activities in accordance with contractual requirements. Ensure rapid response to system issues to maintain mission continuity. Preventative Maintenance Planning Develop and maintain the Preventative Maintenance Plan in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Identify systems requiring elevated levels of preventative maintenance due to operational tempo, environmental conditions, or system age. Track and report preventative maintenance and repair metrics at monthly Integrated Program Reviews (IPRs), as requested by the Government. Lifecycle & Reliability Management Predict and identify systems or components approaching end-of-life, end-of-service, or requiring lifecycle replacement. Provide formal written notifications and recommendations to the Government. Identify recurring system or component failures and propose corrective action plans. Ensure operational readiness and reduce unscheduled downtime. Asset & Data Management Maintain the quality, integrity, and accuracy of data within the Maintenance Management System. Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, lifecycle status, and system health. Ensure adequate stock levels of frequently used parts, consumables, and replacement components to minimize downtime. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to support timely repairs and system sustainment. Personnel & Operational Oversight Supervise maintenance and technical personnel. Ensure all personnel meet training, certification, badging, and security clearance requirements. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and performance excellence. Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizen. Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (cleared-only candidates will be considered) Minimum five (5) years of experience managing and sustaining complex security systems. Minimum five (5) years of experience in general supervision and management of personnel or technical functions. Demonstrated experience overseeing preventative maintenance and repair programs. Experience working in secure federal or DoD environments. Strong understanding of electronic security systems, physical security infrastructure, and lifecycle sustainment. Experience with maintenance tracking systems or Maintenance Management Systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including reporting to Government stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting the Pentagon or major DoD installations. Familiarity with DoD facility security requirements and operational standards. Experience forecasting lifecycle replacement and capital planning. Background in low-voltage systems, access control, video surveillance, and physical barriers.
