Job Description Pathology Opportunity - Dayton, OH Position Details Seeking a Full-Time Pathologist for an evolving practice Largest private pathology group in Dayton, Ohio 13 pathologist, providing services for a tertiary care 900 bed level 1 trauma hospital, multiple smaller regional hospitals, independent GI/GU/Heme labs and a large outreach clinical laboratory. The full-time pathologists in the practice are responsible for handling surgical pathology cases, frozen sections, quick assessments/immediate reads (CT and US guided biopsies, navigational lung biopsies, EBUS, and EUS). Cytopathology cases include pap smears, non-gyns, and FNA’s. Clinical laboratory duties include interpretation of peripheral blood smears, hemoglobin electrophoresis, SPEP, and UPEP. Call responsibilities include frozen sections and general clinical laboratory. Do not perform autopsies. Rotate and provide medical directorships as well as sign out responsibilities throughout the various locations. Attend and present cases at multispecialty conferences including breast, lung, head and neck, neuro-oncology, gynecologic oncology, and hepatobiliary oncology as well as general tumor boards.
