Job Description The Department of Surgery, Division of Transplantation, at Loyola University Medical Center and Stritch School of Medicine seeks to recruit an Academic Multiorgan Transplant Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The candidate should have experience in kidney, liver, and pancreas transplantation. Clinical activities include adult liver and kidney transplantation with a strong focus on minimally invasive nephrectomy. Other activities should include general surgery procedures in transplant patients and possibly hepatobiliary surgery. The candidate should have an interest in participating in undergraduate and graduate medical education. Must be board eligible/certified in general surgery and possess a valid IL medical license before start date. Candidates should be fully trained in an ASTS approved fellowship and meet UNOS criteria for a liver and kidney transplant surgeon. UNOS criteria for pancreas transplantation would also be desirable. The selected individual will be expected to participate in clinical care, teaching, research, and university service. Salary and level of appointment will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
