We are a a leading Construction & Fabrication company doing business in a variety of industries. An ideal candidate for this position should have had minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility or job shop as a CNC machinist and/or operating CNC related Fabrication Machinery. This job is Full Time for 40 hours weekly or more. Some overtime will be required. Job Responsibilities: • Independent set-up and operation of CNC equipment, making routine steel structure related setups. • Read and correctly interpret customer or shop drawings. • Calculate dimensions/tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and corresponding measuring tools. • Loading of work fixtures, cutting tools, and programs into machines. • Analyzing simple and complex programs; adjusting speeds, feeds, and types of tooling, as required, to maintain quality part finishes and efficient production. • Adjust positions of tools in relation to the workpiece to assure clearance between moving parts and machining of specified dimensions and tolerances. • Work and communicate well with management and co-workers. • Must be able to work independently, without constant supervision. • Keep work area clean and organized. • Ability to stay on task. Qualifications/Skills Required: • Minimum 3-5 years CNC machining with setup experience req, or trade school / manufacturing program equivalent. • •Must be proficient in the use of common hand tools for a fabrication shop as well as the use of fixtures, etc. • Ability to read and correctly interpret customer drawings, sketches and follow verbal instructions. • Ability to thoroughly, and accurately complete job traveler paperwork. • High level of proficiency with set-up and operation of CNC equipment. • Good math skills, with analytical abilities. • Manual dexterity, and an eye for detail. • Positive attitude. • Ability to stay on task. • Keep work area clean and organized • This is a physical job that requires periods of standing and some lifting and use of cranes & fork lifts • This job is for 40 hours weekly with some OT available, occasionally will be required.
