Assist with collective bargaining and labor relations for school employees. Act as bond counsel for tax-exempt debt and other financing for capital projects. Handle special education law matters, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Section 504 meetings, and compliance complaints. Address student-related legal issues such as First Amendment concerns, FERPA, student discipline, and conduct hearings. Qualifications: Juris Doctor degree from accredited law school. Member in good standing of the California State Bar. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills. Knowledge of California public agency and education laws a plus.
