POSITION SUMMARY The Neurologist coordinates a course of treatment for patients with a variety of neurological diseases and illnesses while working with an inter-disciplinary team of nurses, physician assistants, dieticians, surgeons, pathologists and pharmacists. Evaluate new-onset headaches (whether traumatic or atraumatic), with or without altered mental state, and with or without focal neurologic findings. Diagnosis and treat cluster, migraine and tension-type headaches. Diagnosis, evaluate and treat common causes of dementia. Differentiate dementia from delirium and depression. Manage general medical factors that improve or worsen dementia. Diagnosis, evaluate and treat seizure disorders. Diagnose, evaluate and treat neuropathies, radiculopathies and myelopathies. Provide treatment of neuropathy and radiculopathy. Diagnose, evaluate and treat degenerative neurologic disorders such as Parkinsons disease. Title Diagnostic Radiologist - RUHS Description The radiology department at Riverside University Health System (RUHS) has an opening for a diagnostic radiologist. This position is available within the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Department of Radiology affiliation with Riverside University Health System. Located in the heart of beautiful Southern California in the area known as the Inland Empire, the hospital is situated conveniently halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs. Our location places us within one hour of surfing at the beach, camping in the desert, skiing in the mountains, or catching a play in Los Angeles. There are six major airports within an hour's drive. The ideal candidate would be interested in a mix of imaging studies; mammography is optional. A radiology residency, with an integrated clinical year began in July 2022. In addition to radiology resident teaching, there are quarterly lectures to family and internal medicine residents. Responsibilities would include participation in ongoing quality improvement and scholarly activity. The department is rapidly expanding to meet the needs of the patients with over 200,000 imaging examinations per year and ongoing installation of new equipment. The candidate will provide a proportion of the full‑time base of 13 weeks of call coverage for fluoroscopic studies, weekend film reading from home, and share of holiday coverage with the team. Currently coverage includes an average 1–2 shifts per week from home with hours 7 am – 4 pm or 11 am – 8 pm and the remainder onsite from 8 am – 5 pm. There is no scheduled work after 8 pm or before 7 am. Backup coverage is available whenever required. Overview Position Overview Boston Medical Center – Brighton, a member of the BMC Health System, is seeking a full-time Neurohospitalist to join our expanding inpatient neurology team. This role is ideal for a dedicated clinician who is committed to delivering exceptional neurological care in a collaborative, community-focused hospital environment aligned with the academic mission of Boston Medical Center. The Neurohospitalist will provide inpatient neurology consultation, acute neurological care, and support for patients admitted with neurologic disorders.
