Dane Street is expanding our physician panel! Dane Street is an Independent Review Organization and a national provider of Independent Medical Exams (IMEs), among other offerings, and we are expanding our physician panel, resulting in opportunities for non-traditional physician work and supplemental income. We have a need to add Washington-licensed physician advisors to support L&I Independent Medical Exams. This opportunity is to conduct in-person IMEs across multiple clinic locations, including Bellevue, Seattle, Everett, Spokane, and a Vancouver location that is being secured at this time. No-shows, late cancellations, and other ancillary fees are established to protect your time. Our physician panel is comprised of independent contract reviewers (1099) compensated on a per-case basis. A Washington medical license is required. Other requirements are active practice, and board certification in Otolaryngology. Requirements Washington medical license required Active practice required Board certification in Otolaryngology required Job Summary As Physician Reviewer/Advisor supporting Washington L&I Independent Medical Exams, the physician reviews medical records, performs a physical exam of the patient, and addresses clinical questions regarding the patient's diagnosis and care. Major Duties and Responsibilities You must be in active practice and board-certified in Otolaryngology On a contract basis as individual schedule permits, accept cases, review all medical records, conduct physical exams, and complete a report addressing each question and clinical concern utilizing AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Sixth Edition Provides a report promptly, post exam Returns cases on or before the due date and time specified Completes peer‑to‑peer calls/call attempts as required based on client‑specific protocol, with the goal of obtaining information not included in medical records as well as any necessary clarification Performs other duties as assigned, including addressing any necessary clarification, providing addenda as required (with additional compensation), identifying and responding to potential quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory issues Active practice is required Benefits Robust opportunity for supplemental income Schedule flexibility and predictable work hours – you set volume, and conduct exams based on your schedule availability No doctor/patient relationship is established and no treatment is provided. Overview Park Nicollet Gastroenterology/Methodist Hospital is looking for a BC/BE Advanced Endoscopist/gastroenterologist to join our team. Our team provides outpatient procedural and clinic services in St Louis Park, Maple Grove, Burnsville and Hutchinson. Physicians are assigned a primary site and assist with coverage at secondary sites intermittently. Our team also provides 24/7 inpatient coverage at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN. Key details of the position are below. Responsibilities Full-time 1.0 FTE: 4.5 working days per week. For advanced endoscopists who are seasoned clinicians, there is an option to do full-time 1.0 FTE as a 4-day work week. Changing to a 4-day work week while maintaining 1.0 FTE is subject to department leadership approval and ongoing adherence to high-quality patient care and time management. Candidate should have EUS/ERCP experience with interest and capability for advanced techniques such as BarrX, single balloon colonoscopy, Axios stenting, and/or EMRs. Participate in advanced endoscopy coverage for a single hospital site (Methodist Hospital). Maintain key working relationships with patients and families, Gastroenterology team members, administration, unit staff throughout Methodist Hospital as well as clinical staff at the respective outpatient procedure centers. Advanced endoscopy clinicians will cover the advanced endoscopy service approximately one weekend per month of call coverage (subject to change pending total group size). Advanced endoscopists will also rotate day/night emergency ERCP call coverage.
