Programs mills and lathes by entering precise instructions, including zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, and other parameters using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. Monitors and maintains specifications during operations, including drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing processes. Troubleshoots process malfunctions and adjusts controls or reprograms as necessary. Maintains and sharpens tools, replacing worn components as needed to uphold quality standards. Participates in continuous improvement initiatives and team problem-solving efforts. Assists with special projects, such as prototype development or process optimization. Keeps work area and equipment clean, safe, and orderly in alignment with our POWER values. Strictly adheres to safety procedures and quality standards, including standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct, monitor, and record project safety & health walk-through assessments with subcontractor safety personnel. Present all safety assessment findings to appropriate parties. Manage and document safety activities which require immediate correction and verify that these items are corrected in a timely manner. Prepare documents to be distributed relative to safety, including assisting Site Management with correspondence to heighten safety awareness, project safety and health goals and ensure a safe and productive work environment is a priority among all project personnel. Conduct and document training on environmental, safety & health subjects. Review and complete, as necessary, near miss, property damage, environmental incidents and Accident Investigation reports and recommend countermeasures as appropriate. Present project Safety & Health program progress, challenges, and objectives to Corporate Safety & Health. Complete daily project Safety & Health reporting requirements and ensure project specific Safety & Health records are in an audit ready state at all times. Verify project subcontractors maintain all required safety records in an audit ready state and submit all documentation as required to Corporate Safety & Health. Drive to various project site locations. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all policies and standards The Staff Site Safety & Health Specialist will support the site project management team to deliver project specific Safety & Health programs at the field location. This position will create and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy, and incident-free work site in a heavy construction environment. Required or High School Diploma/GED and 7 years construction safety, general industry safety, or construction management. Required Experienced knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Construction and General Industry Regulations, as well as, America National Standards Institution (ANSI), National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH), Army Corps of Engineers (CoE), Engineers Manual 385-1 and National Electrical Code (NEC) Standards. This role is responsible for overseeing technicians, managing work orders, ensuring quality unit turns, and maintaining the overall safety and appearance of the property.
