Mammography Technologist

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Mammography Technologist demonstrates progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the mammography department. Must meet all initial and continuing requirements in training, experience and education in digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis as defined and outline by FDA and ACR, in accordance with MQSA guidelines. Required to complete and pass all mammography competencies prior to working independently and agree to take the ARRT mammography boards within one year of start date. All technologist(s) must perform weekly quality control as required by the FDA and ACR. Is able to proficiently perform routine and diagnostic mammography exams on all equipment at each campus and may need to perform other mammography guided procedures according to established practices under the direction of a radiologist, supervisor and/or lead technologist. May be required to work a variety of shifts to include evenings, weekends and holidays at multiple campuses and cover on call duties as needed or assigned. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified, and is Licensed or License eligible with the State of Vermont. Required to complete and pass all mammography competencies prior to working independently and agree to take the ARRT mammography boards within one year of start date. All technologist(s) must perform weekly quality control as required by the FDA and ACR. Is able to proficiently perform routine and diagnostic mammography exams on all equipment at each campus and may need to perform other mammography guided procedures according to established practices under the direction of a radiologist, supervisor and/or lead technologist. May be required to work a variety of shifts to include evenings, weekends and holidays at multiple campuses and cover on call duties as needed or assigned. EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified, and is Licensed or License eligible with the State of Vermont.
