Certified HVAC Apartment Maintenance Technician
Job Description Job Description We are currently seeking a CERTIFIED HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team IMMEDIATELY! You will be responsible for completing work orders, HVAC, routine maintenance Responsibilities: Complete work/repair orders, and assigned maintenance requests with a sense of urgency Estimate time and extent of repairs Perform routine preventive maintenance, monitor and maintain all building systems and equipment Maintain material and supply inventory Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary Maintain day-to-day operations of the property under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager Diagnosing problems and making repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, flooring, carpentry, drywall, exterior structure, appliances, and any related residential apartment requirements. Complete routine community inspections Assist the Maintenance Supervisor on special projects as necessary Maintain physical condition of the property according to company operating and safety standards Spanish Speaking is a Plus Qualifications: Must have 4 years of previous experience in property maintenance PROVEN Experience with SPLIT HVAC Systems (repair and installation) Familiarity with R32 Refrigerant Must be Certified in HVAC repair and Section 608 Stationary Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Certification Complete Unit Turns-Including: Carpentry Work, Installing Vinyl Flooring, Hanging Doors & Cabinets, Changing Locks, Performing Flooring Repair as needed Electrical Skills: Installing Light Fixtures, Outlets, Breaker Switches & Wiring Plumbing Skills: Repairing Leaks, Installing Garbage Disposals Knowledge of Pro press Preferred, but not required Familiarity with K-50 & 1500 Drain Cleaning Equipment Appliance Repair & Installation: Refrigerators, Stoves & Dishwasher Must be able to provide 3 professional references Must have their own car/transportation with a valid driver's license to get to work Must possess some of their own tools Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment Ability to handle physical workloads Deadline and detail-oriented Must be willing to work some evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as necessary Must pass a criminal background check Potential to Live On-Site if Desired for Qualified Candidate Mount Vernon Apartments is an equal-opportunity employer & Veteran-Friendly Company Description Set in the Historic Alexandria, Mount Vernon Apartments offers One, Two, or Three-bedroom Garden-style apartment homes that include air conditioning and cable-ready connections.
