Required Qualifications : Completion of a formal Radiologic Technology Program. ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registered Radiography and Computed Tomography NM State Certification for Radiologic Technology. BLS certification Physical demands: lifting a minimum of fifty (50) pounds Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy Educational understanding of advanced CT procedures, i.e., biopsies, cryotherapy, etc. Educational understanding of power injectors and contrast Understanding of placing service work orders for CT Scanner and injectors Duties and Responsibilities: Performs CT procedures at a professional and technical level not requiring constant supervision utilizing industry standards. Ascertains that DNV standards and specialty recommendations are met for the CT department. Provide knowledgeable understanding of patient prioritizing (i.e., E.D., in-patient, out-patient) Understand the transfer and viewing of images through the P.A.C.S. system. Understand the ordering system through the R.I.S. (Radiology Information System). Thorough comprehension of CT Call and the use of the after-hours remote radiology reading services Coordinate exams and procedure with radiologist or related physicians as needed. Maintain, clean, and re-stock CT procedure room when needed. Transportation of patients as needed. Assumes responsibility for own personal continuing education and developmental needs. Attends meetings, workshops and conventions to increase clinical skills. Adheres to radiology dress code. Maintains confidentiality of all Hospital matters (i.e., HIPAA) Practices good communication skills Understand process of correct procedure and contrast ordering through EMR system Conducts self in a professional manner consistent with the values of San Juan Regional Medical Center. Director of ICU

Job Summary Provides leadership, direction, and administration of all aspects of clinical activities to ensure accomplishments of objectives. Directs and supervises the facility operations, financial affairs nursing, and patient care services. Manages effective operations for a specified unit(s), with 24-hour responsibility for all clinical, human resource and business functions. Participates in advancing the leadership agenda for the Nursing Department and contributes to the advancement of professional nursing. Performance: Position Specific Essential Functions Assist in development of financial plan and monitor allocation of resources. Coordinates long-range financial development and management of organization. Keeps governing body informed and recommends action concerning legislation, government rules, and any additional matters. Recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and development of staff, with the assistance of Human Resources as needed. Monitors the facility's physical environment. Maintains facility in state of readiness for inspection for Medicare. Responsible for scheduling of staff and manages training of personnel. Evaluates performance of staff and recommends merit increases, promotion, and disciplinary actions. Serves as mentor to department personnel by following policies and procedures and setting a professional example through behavior, actions, and words. Assumes responsibility for nursing and administration. Ensures patient care needs are met and resolve patient care crisis issues. Coordinates interaction among departments by maintaining working relationships with personnel in all areas of the hospital. Maintains current knowledge of job duties and appropriate clinical procedures. Attends seminars, training sessions, and meetings. Monitor data to ensure appropriate patient care standards are met; identify trends and implement interventions to achieve the clinical outcomes established for the unit. Identifies problems related to clinical practice or operating procedures and develops appropriate plan of correction. Identify opportunities to improve patient care processes and introduce new innovations in nursing practice. Provide direct patient care as needed. Maintains department facilities and equipment to promote efficiency, health, comfort and safety of patients and staff; evaluates and justifies equipment and supply needs and purchases, plans for use of space and new equipment; negotiates and documents maintenance schedules. Establishes and maintains safety, infection and environmental control policies and procedures for the department; develops and maintain patient records and reports; collects statistical data as required; implements and directs actions to address issues that are identified by survey presented either through HCAHPS and organizational SRA's; involves staff in process improvement. Establish efficient position control for the unit(s); Interview and hire appropriate number and type of staff to maintain effective unit operations; Provide support for assimilating new staff into the unit(s); Develop plans for cultivating effective teamwork and take action to maintain a positive work environment. Supervise performance of unit staff on a day-to-day basis and provides ongoing feedback to employees; Completes all performance evaluations in an objective and timely manner; Develop methods to acknowledge exceptional performance. Provide corrective actions according to policy to immediately address problematic performance issues; Provide individualized staff development plans consistent with the goals for advancing unit performance and staff members individual developmental needs. Initiates personnel actions (promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, merit increases, and terminations) and collaborates with HR to complete transactions in a timely manner and in accordance with policies and procedures. Prepares/approves a monthly master schedule and makes decisions regarding day-to-day staffing in a manner that provides appropriate staffing levels within targeted budget and productivity standards. Directs unit-based quality assurance and improvement activities; Participates in organization-wide quality assurance and improvement activities; Coordinates intra- and inter-departmental operations in a manner that promotes quality improvement and cooperation; Institutes methods for measuring and managing patient, staff, and physician satisfaction to meet targeted goals. Immediately intervenes on complaints after notification of such; Introduces and demonstrates new techniques, new equipment, and research findings to the staff; Ensures that the department is represented in conferences and hospital committees; Sees that reports are submitted on a timely basis. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent Completion of an accredited Nursing program Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Experience: Preferred Two years of recorded Leadership Accomplishments Two years of experience in Healthcare/Medical as a Manager Two years of experience as a Charge Nurse Certification/Licensure: Required Registered Nurse (RN), with authorization to practice in the State of Texas Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Preferred Certification in related Clinical Field
