Job Description Job Description This position is responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis & repairs on all equipment for Antonini trucks and trailers. This position requires direct contact with a diverse group of internal and external customers at all levels of the organization. This position must demonstrate integrity, heritage, fairness, quality, and community service in the performance of one’s functions and responsibilities to ensure that the department goals are achieved. Typical 50 hours/week. Essential Functions: · Quality maintenance, diagnosis and repairs on all equipment. · Maintenance and repair of company tractors and trailers. · Perform maintenance, repair and other duties within company standards for productivity. · Understand and implement maintenance schedules. · Assist other shop mechanics/ personnel/ drivers as needed. · Display the ability to learn and apply new knowledge through attendance of technical classes to advance technical capabilities. · Ensure cleanliness of shop and yard areas. · Communicate effectively with other employees and supervisor. · Maintain and utilize work areas, tools and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment. · Work varying shifts and overtime as business needs arise. · Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety regulations. Use all safety equipment necessary. Report any unsafe acts or conditions. Performance Standards: · Achieves first-class service and profitability through quality maintenance, diagnosis, repair and percentage of reworks. · Applies technical knowledge through regular attendance of technical training classes. · Effectively participates as part of the team, assisting where appropriate and requesting assistance when needed. · Achieves a customer focus by providing high quality, cost effective service. · Adheres to company policies, procedures and practices. Position Specifications: Technical Training: · ASE Certificate of technical training in basic diesel, gasoline engine tractor and trailer equipment desired. · Possess Valid CA driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Experience: · Minimum of three (3) years maintenance and truck repair experience. · Must meet minimum personal tooling requirements. Work Environment: · Shop and outside environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, dust and dirt. · Using company service vehicle travel when necessary to make repairs. Physical / Mental Abilities: · Professional attitude and appearance consistent with position and responsibilities. · Self-motivated and detail oriented; work with minimum supervision. · Stand/ walk 5 - 6 hours per day. Sit 1 - 4 hours per day. · Frequently lift 100 pounds. · Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation. · Must be able to frequently bend, twist, squat and climb; including ability to ascend and descend ladders. · Must use feet for repetitive movement when operating equipment control · Must be able to move head and neck at odd angles, including hanging head to see under truck engines and other equipment repeatedly for long periods frequent and infrequent periods · Able to lie on back and side with arms extended for long and short periods · Must be able to crawl under vehicles and other equipment and to perform duties in cramped, spaces with limited room for movement Company Description Antonini Enterprises LLC is part of a group of companies dedicated to serving California's agricultural and general commodity transportation needs since 1926. This position involves transporting building materials locally throughout the Houston area using pickup truck and gooseneck trailer combinations. Drivers are home every night and no over-the-road or overnight travel is required.
