Position Summary: Construction Superintendent The Superintendent assists the Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s) in obtaining, evaluating, coordinating, and distributing the information and authorizations necessary to construct the project on time, within budget and to the quality specified. In the performance of this function the Superintendent is responsible for protecting and promoting the interests of both the business and client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal and professional characteristics of a developing leader. Principal Accountabilities Oversight of all daily on-site construction activities, to include subcontractor management, vendor/supplier, inspections and material management. Successfully manage, track, and update project schedules, ensuring overall progress and coordinating subcontractors, equipment, materials, vendor/supplier deliveries. Generate and maintain a comprehensive 4-week look ahead that aligns with the overall construction schedule. Lead weekly subcontractor foreman meetings, facilitating effective collaboration and communication. Lead subcontractor kick-off meetings, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations. Implement and manage FS 360’s company Safety Programs and Procedures, ensuring a safe work environment. Maintain strict quality control standards by verifying that subcontractor work adheres to plans and specifications. Complete and maintain all required company and compliance reports via Procore and any client mandated platforms: Daily Reports, Manpower Logs, Safety Reports, Observations, Project Photos, etc. Obtain and ensure compliance with all necessary construction permits, project test/inspection requirements, and reporting obligations. Establish and maintain on-site document control, including updated plans/drawings, specifications, and as-built information. Act as the primary point of contact and liaison with clients, effectively resolving on-site issues and addressing their concerns. Manage the punch-list and maintain QA/QC on the project. Preferred Qualifications Relevant education, certification(s) and/or years of experience in Superintendent role. Procore and Bluebeam experience strongly recommended. Possess relevant certifications/qualifications in construction processes, i.e. OSHA 10/30, Lifts, Confined Space, etc. Experience in high-volume and deadline driven environments. Knowledgeable in interpreting construction documents, including construction plans, drawings, specifications, and subcontractors’ scope of work. Proficient in project setup and communication, including daily, weekly, and monthly reporting. Familiar with agency inspections. Knowledgeable in punch-list management. Effective supervision, leadership, and personnel development skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Positive attitude and strong team player. This position is for someone who can set up, operate, and inspect parts on CNC turning equipment in a job shop environment. Dagry is a precision machine shop in Owatonna, MN. We make a wide variety of parts, so this is a good fit for someone who likes variety, problem solving, and doing quality work instead of running the same part every day. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision machined parts Read and understand blueprints, drawings, and job instructions Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other measuring tools Hold tight tolerances and maintain quality throughout production Make tool offsets and minor program adjustments as needed Change inserts, tools, jaws, and fixtures Work with steel, stainless, aluminum, plastics, and other common materials Identify issues with tooling, programs, setups, or part quality Keep work area clean and organized Perform basic machine maintenance as needed Work with the team to improve setups, cycle times, and part quality Qualifications CNC lathe experience required Ability to set up and operate CNC lathes Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools Strong attention to detail Good mechanical aptitude Basic math skills, including decimals, fractions, and tolerances Ability to work independently after training Willingness to learn and improve Manual lathe experience is a plus Milling experience is a plus Experience with Fanuc-style controls is a plus Experience with live tooling, sub-spindle, or mill-turn machines is a plus, but not required What We Offer Full-time, steady work Variety of parts and setups Opportunity to learn more advanced machining Small-shop team environment Competitive pay based on experience Benefits available Schedule Full-time, daytime schedule.
