Position Overview The Physical Therapist (PT) delivers direct rehabilitation services in physical therapy to patients referred by physicians, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards. Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program, holding a BSPT, MSPT, or DPT (those graduating in 2003 or later must possess an MSPT or DPT). Current registration or licensure in the applicable state, with an obligation to maintain an active and good-standing license throughout employment. Preferred experience of one (1) year; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply. CPR certification is required upon hiring or must be obtained during orientation, and it must remain current throughout employment. Specific Job Responsibilities Engage in community health initiatives and projects as appropriate. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication. Collaborate with patients, families, and support departments to effectively address patient needs. Exhibit proper body mechanics consistently. Make independent decisions when necessary. Possess knowledge of practices, procedures, and regulations governing operations in post-acute care settings. Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation. Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and others. Ensure confidentiality of all proprietary and sensitive information. Adhere to organizational policies, including those related to harassment and compliance. Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following the organization's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training. Essential Functions Implement physical therapy treatment plans for patients. Set, evaluate, and adjust realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals. Supervise and assess care provided by PTAs, Rehab Aides, and PT and PTA students. Document care accurately and in a timely manner. Utilize therapy software effectively and accurately. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards patients. Assist in the safe evacuation of patients when necessary. Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance. Employ reasoning skills and sound judgment in all situations. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving intermittently during work hours.
