Job Summary and Qualifications This role will be based at our new Fast-Track Emergency Department located at: Centerpoint Medical Center ER of Independence 1545 East 23rd Street South Independence, MO 64055 The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with departmental needs and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Working alongside medical providers and other care team members, the RN offers individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance. Regularly assesses patient pain to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up assessments after interventions. Executes procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, documenting care in the patient’s medical record promptly and thoroughly. Delivers outstanding care by responding swiftly to patient requests and proactively addressing their needs. Educates patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding. Instructs patients, families, and caregivers on non-medical follow-up actions, such as healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management strategies. Qualifications Required: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of starting employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of starting employment. Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment. Trauma Nursing Core Course certification must be obtained within one year of starting employment. Must be a Registered Nurse. Possession of an Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree. Experience as an Emergency Department RN is highly preferred. Our facility is a 285 bed hospital equipped with cutting-edge technology and equipment.
