Our Specialty Crews Alyeska Builders is a full-service general contractor with several specialized crews. Applicants may be hired into one of the following divisions based on experience and company needs. 1. Rough Structure / Framing Crew This crew builds the structural shell of residential and commercial projects. Typical work includes: Wall, floor, and roof framing Roof installation (metal & shingles) Exterior doors and windows Siding installation Structural carpentry During the winter months, this crew also assists with: Vapor barrier Insulation Interior framing Remodel demolition Snow removal Other construction tasks as needed 2. Finish Carpentry Crew Our finish carpenters complete the detailed work that brings projects to life after drywall and paint. Typical work includes: Flooring installation Interior trim Interior doors Cabinet installation Specialty wood finishes Tile installation (crew dependent) When needed, this crew also assists with remodel demolition, snow removal, and other construction scopes. 3. Drywall Hanging & Finishing Crew This crew specializes in residential and commercial drywall installation from start to finish. Typical work includes: Hanging drywall Taping Mudding Sanding Texturing Preparing surfaces for paint Additional responsibilities may include: Light framing Material take-offs Inventory tracking Maintaining clean, organized job sites Assisting other crews as project demands require 4. Concrete Finishing Crew Our concrete division performs a wide variety of residential and commercial concrete projects throughout Interior Alaska. Typical work includes: Residential foundations Commercial foundations Sidewalks Patios Decorative concrete Curb work Slab preparation Epoxy floor coatings Concrete repair and surface preparation Crew members are responsible for all phases of concrete work, including: Form construction Foam and vapor barrier installation Rebar installation Concrete placement Finishing Decorative finishes Sealing Form removal Project cleanup Duties of All Field Positions Safely operate power tools and construction equipment Read and accurately use a tape measure Measure, cut, and install construction materials Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications Complete daily job reports Maintain a clean, organized job site and professional appearance Lift and carry 50 pounds regularly Perform quality workmanship with attention to detail Follow all company safety procedures Work effectively as part of a team Assist other crews when needed Job Qualifications Minimum of two (2) years of construction experience (trade-specific experience preferred) Valid driver's license Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds or more Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team-oriented mindset Reliable attendance Employment Requirements At Alyeska Builders, we take safety, responsibility, and professional growth seriously. OSHA-10 Certification All applicable field employees, foremen, and superintendents must possess a valid OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification before beginning employment. Failure to obtain OSHA-10 certification may result in withdrawal of the employment offer or termination of employment. Employees must report any motor vehicle violations—including DUI, license suspension, revocation, or major traffic offenses—to Alyeska Builders within 48 hours. Maintaining a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is a condition of employment. Continued Education Employees are required to complete at least one (1) company-approved training or continuing education course every six (6) months. Approved training is provided by Alyeska Builders at no cost. Courses are completed on the employee's own time.
