Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Performs routine and complex repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and other machines in support of landfill operations. Assists with inventory of parts and supplies, schedules repairs and routine PMs, maintains records for all landfill vehicles and equipment. Essential Job Functions: An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. Perform diagnostic analysis of breakdowns and make the necessary repairs to get the machine back in normal operating condition. Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimating resources. Assist with project handoff meetings after award to ensure smooth transition to operations. Track bid results and perform post-bid analysis to improve future estimating accuracy. Qualifications Required 5 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction, site development, or utility construction. Strong understanding of: Earthwork and mass grading Underground utilities (storm, sanitary, water) Roadway and paving construction Concrete and site structures Erosion and sediment control Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
