Warehouse Specialist

Description Summary The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions to support production, shipping, and receiving operations while ensuring compliance with all food safety and quality standards under SQF/BRC. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safe practices and supporting the team's overall operational goals. Key Responsibilities Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all food safety/quality requirements under SQF/BRC. Maintain safe work practices, including proper forklift operation, safe driving speeds, horn usage, and seatbelt compliance. Review production sheets to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies. Accurately pick customer orders by interpreting pick-tickets and using RF scanner systems. Load and unload transport vehicles, ensuring products are securely and evenly placed. Maintain forklift equipment, complete daily inspections, and ensure proper shutdown and charging procedures. Document all shipping and receiving activities thoroughly and accurately. Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures for all warehouse inventory unless otherwise directed. Strictly adhere to company inventory control and MRP system policies. Perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping tasks to keep warehouse areas safe and organized. Support other warehouse or production-related duties as assigned.
