Commercial HVACR Superintendent

Whitegate Mechanical Inc. New Jersey / Mid-Atlantic Region Whitegate Mechanical Inc. is expanding its field leadership team and is looking for an experienced Commercial HVACR Superintendent to support New Jersey and Mid-Atlantic mechanical projects. This is a senior field role for someone who knows how to lead commercial HVACR work properly: manpower, schedule, coordination, quality, inspections, documentation, safety, and day-to-day site performance. The right person will have strong commercial HVACR experience, excellent field discipline, and the ability to represent Whitegate professionally with general contractors, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Whitegate is looking for a superintendent who wants to be part of a serious, growing mechanical company with strong standards and long-term opportunity. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day HVACR field operations on assigned commercial projects. Coordinate manpower, subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, equipment, and daily work areas. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and coordination documents. Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, photos, inspection records, delivery records, and progress updates. Report field progress by building, floor, area, system, and measurable quantity. Identify schedule risks, manpower issues, material constraints, and coordination problems early. Work closely with Whitegate’s project management, operations, procurement, and finance teams. Support billing backup by providing accurate field production information, marked-up drawings, inspection records, photos, and delivery documentation. Maintain a professional relationship with the GC, inspectors, trade partners, and internal leadership. Ensure work is performed safely, professionally, and in line with project requirements. Required Experience Strong commercial HVACR field experience. Experience supervising commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, or large residential mechanical projects. Ability to manage crews and subcontractors professionally. Strong understanding of HVACR installation, ductwork, piping, equipment, controls coordination, inspections, and field sequencing. Ability to read drawings, specifications, submittals, and project schedules. Strong documentation habits. Clear communication with project managers, operations leadership, inspectors, GCs, and field teams. Current New Jersey Master HVACR Contractor license in good standing preferred/required for senior New Jersey field leadership roles. Preferred Experience Multifamily project experience. Experience working with general contractors on commercial new construction. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, Quickbase, LiveCosts, or similar construction tools. Experience supporting project closeout, punch lists, startup, testing, balancing, and commissioning. OSHA certification preferred. Compensation Expected compensation range: $85,000 – $100,000 per year , depending on experience, license status, project experience, and responsibilities.
