Duties and Responsibilities: Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents. Makes rescues and administers first aid when necessary. Evaluates students’ progress, and completes required paperwork in a timely manner. Interacts with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills. Acts as a GSS “ambassador” to ensure parental satisfaction. Uses problem solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter. Inspects pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues. Reports issues to management as appropriate. Maintains and ensures proper storage of all pool equipment. Places and removes lane lines. Reports accidents and incidents to management. Completes required documentation and paperwork. Performs Deck Teacher duties as needed. Performs light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc. on occasion. Education/Experience : High school diploma or GED is preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider required. We are currently seeking a fun, energetic and knowledgeable Assistant Gymnastics Coach to work with either our Girls Level 3-5 Compulsory Teams or our Xcel Silver, Gold, and Platinum Teams. Qualified Candidates must have at least 3 years experience teaching gymnastics and a minimum of 1 year coaching a competitive team or alternatively an extensive background as a competitive gymnast. Must have familiarity with USAG requirements and routines and confidence coaching in a competition environment. You need to be a team player, have technical and strong spotting ability, work well with athletes and the other coaches, have the ability to be creative working in small training spaces and be able to go with the flow and be flexible in your role. You will work closely with the Head Coach and other coaches involved in the team program to help make decisions and plan what's best for the gymnasts and the program. It's important that our coaches all support the philosophy and mission of InMovement being an alternative to an intense gymnastics club. For part time must be available a MINIMUM of 2 afternoon/evenings per week (Wednesdays and Fridays are most needed). Full time 4-5 afternoon/evenings per week and Saturdays. Must be able to commit and travel 1-3 hrs to 4-6 competitions in the Winter/Spring. Having a license and a car would be favored.
