HVAC Journeyman Technician (5 Years Experience) * $5,000 BONUS *
Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman HVAC Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a motivated professional with strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience in both residential and commercial HVAC systems. Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems (residential and commercial) Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Advanced knowledge and ability to properly diagnose, repair, and maintain chillers, boilers, and pump systems Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections Complete service reports and job documentation accurately Train, guide, and mentor apprentices to support their technical and professional development Follow all safety procedures and company standards Provide professional, courteous customer service Participate in on-call and after-hours rotations Qualifications 5 years of HVAC field experience (Journeyman level preferred Experience using electronic field service report systems for accurate job documentation Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Santa Maria Working knowledge of HVAC tools, systems, and materials Experience with residential and/or commercial HVAC systems EPA Certification (required or ability to obtain quickly) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated Able to lift 50 lbs. and work in all weather conditions Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces Willing to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts Strong communication and problem-solving skills Company Description SMI HVAC Services is a family- and minority-owned HVAC company based in Santa Maria, CA, proudly serving Santa Barbara County and surrounding areas.
