Job Description Job Description Salary: $130K - $150K JOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Estimator works in support of the Preconstruction Manager to review project documents at varying levels of design to ensure the scope of work required by the documents is accurately priced both internally and by subcontractors. Additionally, the Sr. Estimator will mentor others. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Core Duties / Responsibilities: (Other duties as assigned.) Professional Estimating Accurate and timely review of the design documents to identify the required scopes of work and develop a bid list for review by the project team. Attending informational pre-bid meetings, site walks and preconstruction coordination meetings, documenting the requirements and existing conditions. Developing pre-bid RFIs to close gaps in the construction documents and/or conflicts between design documents / specifications. Track and log all documents issued during the preconstruction period for use during contracting. Distribution of all documents to bidding subcontractors and vendors. Building relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and proposers to encourage participation in the bidding process. Be a champion of JHLs vision, purpose, values, brand promise, and overall brand. Teach and train others about products, systems and processes. Qualification and Pricing Completing takeoffs and developing scope of work review with subcontractors to ensure the work is accurately priced and accounted for. Pricing materials, equipment, labor, and other executive requirements for misc. self-performed scopes of work. Subcontractor Solicitation and Coordination Identification of possible scope gaps and/or areas where multiple trades may exclude or include the same scope. Professional conduct with designers and clients throughout the preconstruction process, along with building relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and proposers to encourage participation in the bidding process. Aggressive follow-up with subcontractors to ensure bids are received on time. Participation in Hard Bid Day activities, including scope review and bid tabulation. Attending pre-award meetings with potential subcontractors and vendors for a detailed scope review and analysis. Track and update vendor information and manage local vendor database. Education / Experience: Required: High School Diploma Preferred: Bachelors Degree 5 years of experience working in commercial construction estimating. Field experience preferred. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Ability to complete estimates of medium to large scale and complexity, up to $25M without significant additional support / management resources. Proficient at the following software systems: Microsoft Office Suite Digital Takeoff Software Bid Solicitation Software Bluebeam Proficient with building/estimating techniques. Additionally this position is eligible for a $3000.00 joining bonus. Job Description Responsibilities: Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck. Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline Facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route. Abide by Medline’s safety regulations, including wearing safety equipment where needed, performing safety checks, etc. Unload and deliver product at our customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries. Provide in-person support to the customer – addressing their questions and needs and providing appropriate documentation upon delivery. Communicate with dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to delivery route or schedule in order to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations. Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy. Perform inspection of vehicle to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued vehicle use. Key Responsibilities Detailed Take-offs: Perform accurate digital or manual quantity take-offs for masonry and concrete scopes (brick, CMU, stone veneer, cast stone, etc.). Bid Management: Prepare and submit comprehensive bid packages for private residential and commercial public-sector projects. Vendor Coordination: Solicit and analyze pricing from material suppliers and specialty subcontractors to ensure competitive project costs. Site Analysis: Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site visits to evaluate site conditions, access, and potential logistical challenges.
