Practice Info The 217-bed Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono is a full-service, short-term acute care hospital. The hospital is a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Case assignments include Cardiac, Endo, general surgery, and ortho. The practice utilizes EPIC, including intra-op. The care team model is the practice model at this location. There are 12 rooms. Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department. Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment. Obtain and/or verify patient consent. Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient. Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor the patient's physiological condition. Perform clinical intervention as needed. Currently licensed as a physician.
