Job Description: We are seeking a highly talented and expert Welder III who has proven, extensive experience with industrial and construction equipment. You will be responsible for performing unusual and difficult horizontal and vertical welding operations on a broad range of metals and alloys to produce a wide variety of large and complex units with high strength and pressure requirements. You will need to be able to expertly interpret blueprints, plan complex welding sequences, and deeply understand our conveyor materials and products. Responsibilities: Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and detailed repair drawings related to equipment and machinery. Plan welding sequences, select electrode type and size, current, and voltage to achieve proper penetration and fusion of dissimilar metals. Align parts to exacting tolerances and secure welds of maximum strength with minimum distortion, often working in confined areas. Repairs and fabricates various complex items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment. Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage. Instruct, direct, train, and assist lower graded and entry-level welders. Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded. Maintained, organized, and cleans equipment and the work area. Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Travel to job sites to assist with advanced installation or complex customer concerns. Adhere to all Safety policies and procedures continuing to promote the Company's culture of providing a safe work environment. Maintain a positive and proactive attitude towards all colleagues, members of Management, and customers. Ability to work on other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager. Skills/Requirements: Advanced understanding of mathematics as related to complex welding assignments Strong technical knowledge and high proficiency in troubleshooting complex mechanical and welding systems. Ability to work independently with little to no supervision and make sound decisions in a fast-paced on-site environment. Effective communication skills to interact with customers, leadership, and Team Members. Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Flexibility to work outside regular business hours and travel as required. Bachelor's Degree in equivalent field or 5 years of relevant, high-level welding experience. Reliable transportation to and from work and customer sites. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Compensation: $33.00 - $37.00 Ability for some overtime throughout the year depending on business needs. Paid weekly in arrears each Friday.
