They are responsible for reading blueprints, managing flux, and ensuring precise weld quality in manufacturing and industrial settings. Key Responsibilities Machine Setup: Configure, align, and operate SAW equipment, including column and boom, tractor, or semi-automatic systems. Process Execution: Apply granular flux, feed electrode wire, and set voltage and amperage for welding thick steel, often on pressure vessels or structural components. Monitoring and Control: Supervise the welding process for proper penetration and speed, ensuring high-quality results.
