Duties and Responsibilities Their main duties include locating and diagnosing problems on equipment, conducting warranty services, and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items. HVAC Technicians have several responsibilities. Depending on the specifics of a job, their primary duty is to either maintain systems or install new units.
