Job Description As an Army National Guard Indirect Fire Infantryman, you'll be in charge of the Infantry's most powerful weapon - the mortar. As part of a mortar squad, section, or platoon, you will perform challenging activities that may include parachuting from a troop transport airplane to access locations where you will construct mortars and camouflage their positions. You'll also locate and neutralize enemy mines. As your skills increase, so will your responsibilities. Advanced team members supervise and train other Soldiers, lead and control mortar squads, provide tactical and technical guidance to subordinates, and supervise the construction of mortar positions. Advanced Indirect Fire Infantrymen are responsible for receiving and implementing combat orders, directing Soldiers in offensive and defensive operations, and requesting, observing, and adjusting indirect supporting fire. Job Requirements and Essential Functions: Strong preference for internal promote from Hourly Champion position Must be at least 18 years old Must pass background check criteria and drug test Must have reliable transportation Able to do basic business math Able to stock shelves and coolers Able to oversee and manage subordinate employees and provide direction Able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves and lift and carry out trash containers and place in an outside bin Able to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the restaurant Able to tolerate standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs. and stooping during 90% of shift time
