Position: Trailer Technician / Trailer Mechanic The Trailer Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repair on a wide range of trailers, including dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, cargo trailers, and utility trailers. This role requires experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and structural systems while ensuring all equipment meets DOT and safety compliance standards. That's why we offer our employees a range of attractive benefits that set us apart from the rest: WEEKLY PAY! $3000 Sign on/$3000 Retention Bonus Quarterly bonuses Comprehensive health and dental plans with flexible spending accounts, including company contributions Paid time off and paid holidays Equipment allowances, education reimbursements, & certification programs 401k with company match and profit sharing Recognition programs and service awards Essential Duties & Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and routine trailer servicing Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components Complete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all work meets regulatory and company standards Use diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair manuals to identify issues Document all repairs and maintain accurate work orders in the maintenance system Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair needs Required Qualifications Experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar role Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in trailer repair and maintenance Knowledge of brake systems, suspension systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, and DOT requirements Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication tools Ability to lift, move, and work with heavy equipment and trailer components Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Commitment to a safe work environment and regulatory compliance Preferred Qualifications Welding and fabrication experience Previous experience in the transportation, trucking, or fleet maintenance industry strongly preferred Experience working with multiple trailer types (dry van, flatbed, reefer, utility, etc.) strongly preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment Why Work With Us Industry-leading tools, equipment, and support Opportunities for growth, technical training, and career advancement Work with a trusted leader in the transportation and fleet service industry Skills Keywords Trailer repair, trailer technician, trailer mechanic, fleet maintenance, PM service, preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, brake repair, welding, fabrication, suspension repair, electrical troubleshooting, hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, trucking industry, transportation equipment, shop technician, diesel repair support, vehicle inspection, trailer diagnostics.
