You will also support repair work when defects are identified, working closely with Quality and production teams. This is a night shift role (6 PM – 6 AM) and requires a welder who is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain focus and consistency throughout the shift. Job Description Job Description Toolmaker Bloomfield, CT Pay: $45.00 per hour Shift : 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 26-05872 Job Summary The Toolmaker is responsible for fabricating prototype and production components using open setup methods and detailed engineering drawings. This role requires advanced machining and fabrication expertise across a wide range of manual and CNC equipment. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience operating all listed machines and tools and be capable of producing high-quality precision parts independently. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and technically challenging projects in a prototype fabrication environment. Job Responsibilities Fabricate precision parts, tooling, and extrusion components from engineering drawings and specifications. Set up and operate manual and CNC turning, milling, grinding, EDM, water jet, and press brake equipment. Perform open setup machining operations with minimal supervision. Manufacture prototype and custom components to required tolerances and quality standards. Operate manual and CNC lathes for turning operations. Operate manual and CNC milling machines for precision machining and component fabrication. Perform surface grinding operations to achieve specified finishes and tolerances. Operate manual and CNC press brake equipment for metal forming applications. Utilize water jet cutting equipment for precision material processing. Program and operate wire EDM equipment to produce complex components. Use 3D printing technology to support prototype development and manufacturing processes. Inspect finished parts using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop manufacturable solutions for custom parts and prototypes. Job Requirements Demonstrated experience as a Toolmaker, Machinist, or similar precision manufacturing professional.
