JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY: A Truck Technician is responsible for providing service to our customers while maintaining exceptional customer service. Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Installation is a major part of the responsibility. This can include cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments. Installation with the help of proper manuals, report writing, disassembly assembly, and parts reuse evaluation and reconditioning. Job Description Job Description Job Purpose & Summary: The purpose of this position is to manage and repair equipment such as semi-tractor trailers, pickups trucks, diesel engines, generators, gasoline engines, pumps etc. This role must work well with others as assistance is needed from time to time to help perform the shop mechanic duties. The shop mechanic is responsible for repairing vehicles and equipment as well as coordinating the purchase of replacement parts and supplies. This role may include responsibilities such as minor fabrication, manufacturing, and warehouse duties. The duties of this role must be carried out in a safe and efficient manner. Duties & Responsibilities: Perform various shop duties including maintaining a clean work environment, inside and outside of the shop. Service equipment. Possess and manage tools and parts inventory. Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and maintain drug-free status. Must have a positive attitude with a proactive approach to getting things done. Must be flexible in an ever-changing environment. Must work well as an individual or as a team. Must have a mechanical mindset and problem-solving attitude. Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience as a welder. Demonstrated experience working with large equipment. Experience with high and low voltage electrical applications. Demonstrated experience driving a truck with a trailer attached. Forklift certification. Manlift certification. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs. Must be able to torque bolts to a minimum 150 ft/lbs.
