Third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered Description: This role is a unique hybrid of Community Liaison and Business Analyst, specifically designed to support the client. You need someone who can handle the heavy lifting of data-tracking spreadsheets and scheduling-while possessing the political savvy to navigate Chicago's neighborhood dynamics and city council relationships. Given the Water Department's mature process for similar infrastructure work, this role will be instrumental in bringing that same level of granular communication and process maturity to the PRP. Role Overview This role is critical in ensuring our communication strategy meets stringent regulatory requirements while remaining granular enough to be effective at the neighborhood level. You will manage two-way communication channels-including customer feedback and surveys-to provide the data necessary for leadership to make real-time adjustments to the PRP rollout. Key Responsibilities Stakeholder Messaging: Serve as the primary point of contact for diverse stakeholders, including local residents, community groups, and city officials. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain and enhance communication processes to ensure all granular reporting regarding pipeline retirement meets state and local regulatory requirements. Data-Driven Feedback: Design and deploy customer feedback loops and surveys; synthesize this data into actionable insights for program adjustments. Community Outreach: Manage email distributions and logistical coordination for community townhalls and public meetings. Business Analysis and Tracking: Maintain detailed project spreadsheets, track program milestones, and manage complex scheduling for the PRP team. Qualifications Chicago Political Knowledge: Mandatory understanding of Chicago political institutions, including the City Council, Aldermanic offices, and city departments. Experience: Previous experience in a municipal or government environment is highly preferred (e.g., experience working for an Alderman or within the Water Dept/infrastructure sector). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically high-level Excel (tracking/data entry) and PowerPoint (stakeholder presentations). Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Policy, Business, or a related field.
