Family Medicine Physician- Board Certified (Chicago)

Responsibilities and Qualifications Obtains health history and perform physical examinations. Diagnoses, treats, counsels, and coordinate care for each patient. Reviews and updates problem and medication list. Meets documentation standards and completes all progress notes within 24 hours following the patient visit. Fulfills on‑call responsibilities in accordance with the schedule. Prescribes medication in accordance with Illinois statute and professional practice guidelines. Performs all duties in conformity with the quality standards and clinical guidelines. Meets Meaningful Use standards, which is defined as using certified EHR technology to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and reduce health disparities, engage patients and families in their health care, improve care coordination, improve population and public health; all the while maintaining privacy and security. Job Description General Summary: The Field Medical Director (Nephrology) is a key member of the Vertex Medical Affairs team providing a realworld clinical practice perspective to Medical Affairs by delivering high-quality scientific and clinical engagement with key stakeholders.
