It works closely with alumni and friends, faculty and staff, corporations and foundations, as well as campus development professionals to create fundraising programs and opportunities that benefit the University. This position is responsible for a variety of accounting and complex duties using discretion and independent judgement with regard to the processing of gifts, non-gifts, and adjustments on a daily basis. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process and classify items received through the Foundation's lockbox, Cash Receipts Office, Chicago Gift Processing Office, and Springfield Gift Processing Office, determining appropriate categorization (gift, grant, contract or estate gift) and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Enter, store and retrieve information related to all gifts and non-gifts using Hyland OnBase, maintaining accurate documentation and filing of all transactions, reports and ledgers.
