Optimize Wi-Fi coverage and recommend extender placement when necessary. Connect and verify customer devices. Educate customers on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting. Required Skills & Experience Experience with fiber optic installations preferred. Experience with fusion splicing preferred. Knowledge of GPON and XGS fiber networks preferred. Understanding of fiber testing and optical light levels. Familiarity with CAT5e/CAT6 wiring standards. Ability to use optical power meters, fusion splicers, and testing equipment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces when necessary. Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 75 lbs. Ability to kneel, bend, crawl, and stand for extended periods. Quality Standards Technicians will be expected to: Maintain clean and organized fiber routing. Follow all fiber handling and cleaning procedures. Meet company optical light level specifications. Complete all required documentation and photos. Pass quality inspections and audits. Adhere to all safety and installation standards. Qualifications Valid Driver's License with clean driving record. Ability to pass background screening and drug testing (if required). High school diploma or equivalent. Telecommunications, fiber optic, or broadband installation experience preferred.
