2nd shift (4:30 pm-1 am), however, they will need to train on 1st shift (6 am-2:30 pm) Temps will not be eligible for OT until they successfully pass probation and are converted to a permanent hire, typically on day 61. They would train on the 1st shift until they can work independently, so it could vary person to person, but would likely be their whole probationary period, possibly longer. Once they transition to 2nd shift, they would get an additional shift differential. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Read and understand blueprints and routings to produce parts to the required specifications. Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced. Perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality. Responsible for the care of routine maintenance and keeping the work area neat and clean. Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding. Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality and safety. QUALIFICATIONS: Possess the skill and ability to assemble manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products. Must be equipped with all the required tools to perform the functions of their job. (Tools provided by the site.) Able to operate assembly equipment such as rivet machines, assembly presses and power tools. Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing, sitting and bending, as well as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently. Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Solder Assembler to join our precision electronics manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be an expert in both surface mount technology (SMT) and through hole soldering, with a proven track record of removing, repairing, and replacing a wide variety of components—including bottom terminated parts such as QFNs, BGAs, and LGAs. The role requires hands on use of advanced rework equipment and the ability to verify workmanship using X ray inspection techniques. Perform high mix, low volume assembly of SMT and through hole components on complex printed circuit boards (PCBs). Execute removal, replacement, and repair of bottom terminated components (QFNs, BGAs, LGAs) using hot air pencils, hot plates, and other rework tools. Conduct precise reflow, pre heat, and cooling cycles to meet component specific thermal profiles. Operate and maintain X ray inspection equipment to evaluate solder joints on hidden pads and verify rework quality. Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure correct component placement and orientation. Perform in process quality checks (visual, AOI, X ray) and document results per quality system requirements. Troubleshoot solder related defects (e.g., tombstoning, voids, solder bridges) and implement corrective actions. Maintain ESD controlled environments; follow all safety and compliance procedures. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting tooling upgrades or process optimizations.
