Education: HS diploma or equivalent. Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of computers with a preferred knowledge of laboratory testing and/or laboratory specimen processing. Work Experience : No experience required but previous laboratory experience preferred. Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory. Previous hospital laboratory experience is a plus but not required. Previous experience in a production environment preferred. The SPT I is responsible for general support functions within the Specimen Processing Department. This position requires a data entry background.
